Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

Hi all,

I had a regular visit yesterday. The baby's heartbeat was 142 . My diabetic scan came back normal and I actually lost a 1/2lb over the holidays.

Next appointment is Jan 26th for level II ultrasound. Can't wait to know the sex. I will be happy either way with a healthy baby, but some family members are pushing for a girl.

As for feeding topic being discussed. I bottle fed DS, and plan on doing so with this one. It just worked for me.

My MS seems to have lessened. The good days and more often than the bad ones!!!

I also went to the doctor last night.

2cm, 50% and -3

not only did he move up, but the doctor said my cervix was thick.

Thick!!!! My cervix is the reason that, in my last 3 pregnancies, I have been on strict bedrest, had to get shots every week in my butt, had tons of stress and been restricted from "certain activities"!

How much more ironic can it get?

I found out the other day that I am having a girl. I'm so excited. I don't plan on having anymore so now I will have my boy and girl. Now I can't wait to take her to Disney.

I've always imagined myself going to the princess meals at WDW with a little girl all decked out. Oh and I can't wait to do tea at the GF (assuming they still have it...oh and that I manage to have a girl! )

Do you do that too?

I brought my son to the castle this past September and almost did the tea with him too. But a little girl in a princess dress. I can't wait.

We did the tea w/ DD#1 and it was FANTASTIC. Pricey, but worth the $.
We are not doing it this time around ... I feel guilty but DD#2 is more interested in doing the Wonderland Tea Party w/ her big sister.

I had the tea booked a couple weeks ago when I went with my mom, but I was feeling so horrible that we canceled it.

For some reason my new due date keeps reverting back on your list. You are not losing it...you have changed it twice already.

That all sounds great! Especially the lessened MS. My first visit is tomorrow. It's an appointment I scheduled before I found out fhat I was pregnant and when I set it up I told the nurse that I needed an annual check-up and that I probably wanted to discuss either the Nuva Ring or Mirena with him. Needless to say, I called her earlier this week to confirm the appt. and tell her we were going to be discussing some very different topics instead.
She promised he wouldn't laugh at me, but I suspect he will. And I probably deserve it. Oh well, as DH and I decided, there are far worse "surprises" for a couple in their late 30's than a sweet, new baby.

Today I could eat everything in sight for these first time since I got pregnant.
Thank goodness I do not have much in the house and the weather is to bad to go out. Fingers crossed MS has passed ...I am 16 wk 4 days along so it should be time to leave me and move on to the next lucky girl!!!

I have done the Castle, 1900 Park Fare, and the Ariel meal at DL with dd9. I am so excited about taking this baby to the castle next year. I'm hoping my then 10 year old will want to dress up like Cinderella, along with her baby sister!

I had an appt for my yearly checkup,too. And I was planning to talk to the dr about Mirena. I was off the pill and told dh he had until my appt to knock me up! I had to call and move my appt up a few months!

Our 12th anniversary was last week and all I could manage at our big dinner out was some soup, some bread, and a few bites of dessert to be polite because DH ordered it for me. I want a do-over in my 2nd trimester!

Thanks! Finding out was a bit of a shock, but when I see celebrities my age battling breast cancer and a few of my own friends having issues with pre-cancerous cells, etc...a "surprise" diagnosis of another baby can only be considered a bonus and a blessing.

We went out for breakfast this morning.. I was so embarrassed. I dont fit in a booth anymore.. My belly is THAT big. I was waddling so bad, the waitress looked at me like I was going to give birth on the floor! Honestly... I felt like I was going to give birth on the floor.
