This is the first time I've had an AP, so please excuse my ignorance . . .
I just received an email about new AP benefits. Mainly it was about getting a magnet at Epcot during Food and Wine, and one at AK. Also, they offer a free coaster set after visiting Food and Wine 4 times.
My question is, and please don't flame me: Does entering Epcot twice in one day count as 2 visits or 1?
Thanks.

It counts as one visit. The four visits have to be different days. Hope that helps!

Yes, thanks. My next trip--the only one that occurs during this event---is only 5 nights, so I was hoping to "double up" to fulfill the requirement.

You just have to walk in. As long as your pass/MB is scanned each day, it counts as a visit. On a 5 night trip, you've got it covered. :-)

I have it covered if I go to Epcot 4 times in my 4.5 day stay. I arrive Sunday afternoon, and plan on going to HS in the evening. Monday is my birthday; I plan to be in MK the entire day. Tuesday I planned on HS again for entire day. Wednesday I planned on AK in the morning, and Moonlight Magic at Typhoon Lagoon in the evening. Thursday I planned a break in the morning, and then Epcot at night.
So to hit Epcot 4 times, I'd have to give up a lot of time in the other parks. I mean, for example, I could leave MK mid-day to go to Epcot and then return to MK, but it seems like a lot of work for the coasters!

I wouldn't leave in the middle of the day...that will take up a lot of time. I would go first thing. All you need to do is scan your Magic Band, walk in, walk out, and then head to the other park. Where are you staying? BWV and BCV are at the International Gateway...you can scan there as well and then head to the other park.

I'm staying at AKL--near nothing except AK, of course.
I was thinking that on the day I go to MK, after the parade I could take the monorail to Ticket and Transportation, take the monorail to Epcot, scan, jump back on the monorail, head back to MK. Should take about an hour?

Also keep things on perspective.
1.its a magnet, do you want to bend your entire trip around a magnet.
2.they may not have any left when you try to pick it up.

I'm not flaming you, really. It's your vacation, do what makes you happy.

Oh, I'm not so crazy as to schedule my birthday vacation around a magnet. I'm scheduling it around the wood coasters they're giving out for 4 visits to Food and Wine. Perfectly sensible.

They really are cute tho ❤You could take a bus from AKV to Epcot on your DHS days, walk through & exit out International Gateway, then take the boat over to DHS. Then you would only need to figure out whether to make a visit on your MK or AK days...…..y'know, the coasters will make a lovely reminder of a special birthday trip :)

Wow! Great idea. Thanks for that idea! My first day, I figure to arrive at AKL in the afternoon, and planned to go to DHS (I have a Tower of Terror 5 pm FastPass). So I can take the bus to Epcot, walk through the International Gateway, and take the boat to DHS.
I was thinking if I arrive early enough at WDW, drive to Epcot before checking in, then check in, and then go to DHS. But your idea will probably save a lot of time on that.

I agree. Time is precious even with an AP. It’s barely worth waiting in line for the magnet. Let alone making extra trips to qualify for the coasters.

Well, it now seems like a long time ago, but I did get the magnet and the coasters, and I'm glad I did. The effort is now long gone, but I still have the magnet and coasters!
