Newborn Advice to DL

Oh I definitely think that it is a good idea to go out at least some of the time, I just don't like the idea of high traffic places, like amusement parks, germs just everywhere! I can only imagine how many annoying colds I have ended up with from being in public, so that is why I am figuring for a baby, yikes! he or she will be even more prone to becoming sick from some germy person or place. That is just what I think and how I feel, I am not telling anyone what to do, that is the last thing I am going to be doing here ;)

I think you have received great advice from most of your replies. My son went for the first time at 13 days old. When he was 3 years and 3 months, he went with his sister - her first visit at 16 days old. We live close by and our children went often as we had passes. When they can walk, it is much harder. It is much easier to take a small baby than a toddler. Visit the Baby Center on Main Street when you need a break. The ladies in there are wonderful. Get a switch pass at every ride. You will have a great time!

I was one of those people who love Disney but never would of taken an infant to Disneyland. We live within driving distance. A weekend trip, but driving distance.

When my oldest daughter was 6 months old my BIL/SIL called because my BIL had business in SOCAL and was going to bring the family to Disneyland. DCA had just opened. They live back east - so we had to make the trip to see them. We were very nervous as first time parents. A long drive to a theme park did not seem like the best idea. It was the EASIEST trip to Disneyland that we have made. She was still mainly breastfed and so happy with all the sights and sounds.

My daughter loves watching the video of the trip. We got to DCA before the rest of the family. We went on Superstar Limo - since we figured our teen niece and nephew would not want to go on that ride. It was our daughter's first ride so we were taping it. It ended up breaking down and we were walked off the ride. So we have video of that experience and my daughter loves to watch it.
