I just decided to make the trip to WDW a couple of weeks ago and it is all coming together. I feel like the clock is ticking with having to make my ADR's as they get booked so quickly. Me and my 5 year old DD are going in mid-March. It will be DD first time at Disney and my first time staying on site.
I did stay with DM, DF and my DB at FW in 1977 or was it 78? Made day trips to MK in '91 and '99 and thats it. So most of this is all new to me.
I have taken out several guidebooks from the library and been reading these boards. So here's what I have planned tentatively so far.
Arrive Sat early afternoon hopefully. Have ressie for Tony's as I think DD will like seeing the restaurant from Lady and the Tramp. We will then go to the campfire sing along over at FW. Hope to maybe see the Electric Water Parade this evening.
Up early Sunday to get to MK early. Probably have breakfast at our resort. Have 12:15 res at CRT. Stay at MK all day or may take a break to go back to the room to wind down. Dinner we have 5:00 reservation for the Hoop Dee Do. After that plan to go back to MK to take advantage of the EMH and view the fireworks. Would like to see the Electric Water Parade if haven't already.
Monday, plan to get to AK early to take advantage of EMH. Use CS credit at Tucker House. Probably go back to the hotel to unwind before heading out to Epcot. We have an early dinner reservation at 4:30 for the Coral Reef.
Walk aroung Epcot and stay for Illuminations.
Tuesday we have to be back at Epcot for an 8:50 Princess Storybook reservation. Also see that there is EMH at Epcot in the morning. Thought it would be good to break Epcot and MK up into two days because there is so much to see. I really would like to try Alfredo's and am considering making a lunch reservation there. I would pay out of pocket because I already have more than six TS ADR's. I guess I am a foodie and want to try to Fetuccine Alfredo and the butter flown in from Italy. It wouldn't be a big lunch but just enough to try a few things there. I just booked a 5:40 ADR for Ohana. I think my DD will enjoy it. Her name Kahlia is Hawaiian. Maybe go to Downtown Disney after Ohana.
Wednesday, plan to go to MGM. Will use a CS credit here. Plan is to go over to AK to take advantage of EMH and have dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.
Go to the Boardwalk in the evening.
Thursday we have to check out,
but I would like to be able to take advantage of EMH at MK. Will probably just use CS this day. Won't want to use up time at TS on the last day.
As I am typing what I will do each day it does seem to be a bit much for a 5 year old. I will definately have my stroller with me so if she needs to fall asleep in it it will be there. But I should try to get to the room by 9:30- 10:00 I think. DD usually needs about 10 hours of sleep.
Any feedback on my itinerary would be appreciated as I have never stayed on site before. I never went to any of the TS restaurants before. This will be DD first time at Disney. I am so grateful for the 6 mos no APR on the Disney visa to be able to afford it.
