Newbies driving from Orlando to Toronto

Where is the best place (i.e cheap and clean) to stay for the night driving from Orlando to Toronto? Travelling with 2 small kids in early Sept. We hope to spend only one night in a hotel on our drive back to Toronto, leaving Orlando mid-morning.
