Just wanted to say Hi and if anyone can give suggestions thanks.

My family and I are going to Disney World in April for the first time. We are so happy well maybe not DH so much. Any way we are going from 4/5-4/11. It will be for my oldest son's Bday. We are staying at Pop. Any suggestions about were we should eat or not eat/

Thanks for viewing.

Welcome to th DIS! (wow, my first chance to welcome a newb!! LOL!)
My suggestion is to browse thru the different boards here, and read whatever catches your eye. Lot's of good info across the whole site.
I also say to use the search....but don't know if it's working "right" or not...

That's the week after Easter and it's spring break season. The parks and the restaurants will be packed. I would call immediately and see what they have available so you can go ahead and make some ADRs (advance dining reservations). You probably won't be able to get a table service (sit down) meal without an ADR. They start making ADRs 180 days out, so the reservations get taken up quickly at the popular restaurants.

As for what restaurants to pick. They are all pretty good. The only bad meal we have ever had there was at Coral Reef. Maybe it was a bad night, but the night we were there the food was horrible. Our favorite non-character meal is Ohana and our favorite character meal is either Cinderella's Royal Table or Crystal Palace.

Welcome to the boards and I hope you get some good reservations!

:welcome: As the above poster said, it might be tough to get any dining reservations at this time. That doesn't mean you can't have the best vacation ever!!

Hello and welcome, I'm kinda new here too.

As the above poster said, be sure to get your ADR's as soon as you can. We leave on 4/29 and I've got ours all booked. Also character breakfasts, tours and shows (Hoop de do Revue (?sp). I also found interesting information on ************* but this site is terrific. Have a wonderful trip and Happy B'day to your son. We too are celebrating a b'day, my DH's 60th.

I agree about the ADR's being booked. Good luck! One of our favorites is The Garden Grill in Epcot. It is a character meal, and seems to be fairly easy to get into. We walked up in Oct. without an ADR on a whim, and were seated 10 mins. later. My kids think it is super cool that the restaurant rotates thru the scenes of Living with the Land. The food is good, too. Some of our other favorites are Crystal Palace, Ohana and Chef Mickeys. We are trying Boma in May and are so excited! It gets great revues. Have fun planning!

Welcome to the site. I am also new. lol So I guess I can't do much welcoming!!:yay:

I have a few places booked already. Just was looking for any impot. Thanks to all that has welcomed me. I find this board very confussing. I'm trying to work it out.

Thanks Again
:cheer2:
