Hi guys,

Newbie here to the board, but not to Disney. I'm so excited because the hubster and I went and booked our Disney trip for April '07 today!!!

I have been to Disney numerous times as a child (staying off site usually in Kissimee), but once I stayed on the property for the first time (Disney Villas @ the Disney Institute) back in 1997 I haven't been able to stay off property since.

Anyway, out trip is for next April and we are staying at the Coronado Springs. The last time we went (back in 2002 for our honeymoon) we stayed at POR, but this time decided to stay somewhere different.

For the past few weeks, I've been lurking here,, but now that I have a trip coming, I'll be around more and probably have questions pop up from time to time -- oh one does come to mind I'll post it over on the resorts board.

Welcome, welcome, welcome! I found this board to be extraordinarily helpful on my last trip (July)--and I went to DLR! So I'm positive you'll be hanging out here a lot.

:sunny: Welcome to the DIS boards! There are some totally wonderful people here. Did you like POR? That's where we're staying for the first time in October. Where is Louisville, GA? We're NE of Atlanta.

Welcome again and HAPPY PLANNING!

Hi Threeangles...just wanted to reply and let you know that yes, my husband and I looove POR it was hard for us to choose where we wanted to stay, but we wanted to try something different and with all the reviews I read on this site I decided that we would try out CSR this time.

We have a tradition that we always have one sit down breakfast meal out, in 1997 we found Boatwrights, which is in POR, and that is our sit down breakfast spot ever since. In fact the very first thing my husband said after we booked our trip today was "We have to go to Boatwrights." It good, down home (Southern) cooking type of place.

As you may know the POR is divided into two areas. There is the rustic Alligator Bayou side and then the other side in which the building are designed like antibellum mansions. That's where we stayed on our honeymoon. We really enjoyed staying there. In between the building are pools,a nd out in front of the main hall at POR is the main themed pool. We found the hotel to be nice and quiet. Sadly we did not explore PORFQ because it was undergoing refurbishing the last time we went (2002). Also to get to Dowtown Disney, there is a water taxi that will take you over there. Nice ride.

Oh and Louisville is south of Augusta.
