I just returned from my first Disney World trip and find my self very depressed. Going to work and getting back into the every day grind has been hard. I dont want to get out of bed I just want to sleep and keep dreaming about DISNEY.

Does any one else sufer from the DISNEY BLUES after their trip or am I just loosing it?

yes, I suffer from it each time we get back from our yearly Feb. trip. My cure...start planning the next one.

Absolutely!!, getting off the plane and seeing Boston, how dirty it is, and people who arent as friendly as you were used to in Florida. It's terrible. back to reality, but like someone else told you, start to plan another one, give yourself something to look forward to. My Aunt thinks Disney should invent a Disney-derm Patch for withdrawals :mickeyjum

I had the same thing when i came back, i got sooooo depressed then i decided to do the college program and try to become a full time cast member and move to florida. So i will never have to leave there again. Sorry to hear your soo sad tho.

I agree with everyone else. Start planning your next trip. It doesn't have to be anytime soon. It can just be a reminder that you are going back.

I have only been back for 3 days...

I wont be able to go back for at least another 17 months and 10 days :sad2:

That will make it be OCT 27th 2007. And that is only assuming this single mom gets enough of a tax return next yr.

I will say it was such an awesome time. I have never experienced such a wonderful, beautiful and magical time ever.

My little boys had a great time. They are 4 and 5 yrs old. And they did so good. From the flight there, all the walking and the long delayed flight home.

To see their little faces light up every time they saw a charcter or went on a ride. It was just so unbelieveable. It just warmed me up in side..I think I felt my heart grow ....lol

The food was great, the people who worked there were awesome (and I do customer service for a living so I know its a hard job..lol) The hotel was nice (ALL STAR MOVIES the LOVE BUG WING).......

  I could go on and on and on forever

Keep coming back here to the DIS it will help.

I am still suffering from the Disney Blues, and it's been 8 months since we've been back. We are planning our next trip for September on 2007, and it seem's like forever. Once December gets here, and my husband can get the vacation book and pick our days, things will seem brighter as I am planning. :teeth:

16 months and counting! Here's hoping for free dining too! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I sure know that feeling. :sad2: Going home is such a let down. ;) Start planning other things to do. They don't have to live up to 'Disney", Little trips and outings can fill the gap. We do the zoo, camping, sightseeing locally. It helps.

Yes i feel for you. I cried for quite a few nights after we came back last August. Luckily we've just booked another trip for August 07

Just got back in from Orlando mere hours ago. Now sets in the case of PPD (Post Park Depression). Planning the next trip does help. So does looking at the photos of the past trip.

The only way you will cure the Disney Blues is to book another trip :thumbsup2

I agree about planning your next trip even if you don't know how soon you will get back. It helps with the blues, and you wil be well prepared for your next trip. :goodvibes

Don't worry, the same thing happens to me too! It helps to have another vacation ahead to look forward to. But, as of now, I don't! These boards help until we can get back to WDW! Visit often!

Oh hon, I definately feel your pain! How do you think I ended up joining this board this week? We just got back Saturday and knowing that I was back home and would have to go to work on Mon would just make me... I thought there was something wrong with me until I came here and now I just feel like I'm in good company.

It's like, we looked forward to it and counted down for months, then it came, we were somewhere "perfect" without everyday stress, then it was just over and we were back here with nothing to look forward to. (Well, we'll be back in Nov, but nothing "immediate" to look forward to.)

I know exactly how you feel my DH doesn't quite get it. We can only go abiout every two years this time is two years and a half. It seems like forever but I just keep reminding myself how fast time goes. :duck: It really does! I also look at it as more time to plan because that is a really fun part of it all so now I get more of it! Enjoy planning your next trip you'll be there before you know it and you'll be that much wiser!

I feel for you! I was the same way, still am after being home for 2 weeks. It is bad enough to be leaving Disney behind until the next time, but we left a sunny 90 degree Orlando behind for a 45 degree rainy Seattle, which it made it all the more depressing!

It sounds like you had a wonderful time with some great memories! Like other DISer's have posted, start planning a trip even if it is going to be a while before you can go. It eases the depression and come hang out at DIS. :)

Well TY all for letting me know I am not all a lone. I never felt this way after a vacaton, so this was a new feeling to be dealing with..lol.
