Newbie with mobility questions, please?

Thanks again catra121! Since I see you were just at CBR, can I ask you something about it? We are hoping to stay there, but I know they don't have elevators. Should I book an HA room, or will I likely get first floor when requested? I know that way isn't a guarantee, but I also don't want to take up an HA room if I don't have to.

I just put first floor in as a request. In my last few trips I only had one time where I didn't get the request initially...but when they saw that I had a walker they just switched me over to a first floor room (and one that was closer...and ready)...it only took a couple minutes for them to make the switch. CBR is a HUGE resort...there shouldn't be any trouble getting your request for first floor. I requested first floor and Martinique and got both requests. I requested Martinique because it is one of the two options that is the first stop with the buses (getting on the bus with the walker is easier when no one else is on there already because I need the ramp).

Have your reservation noted as requesting first floor due to medical needs. No need for an H/A room unless there is something else needed as well.

We always request 1st floor for medical always get it I do call several times to be sure it's on my reservation

Thanks. I didn't know you could do that, and that would be way better, because I don't need HA, just first floor. If I end up with an ECV instead, same applies. I just would like to say that everyone has been great, very helpful, and thank you all very much.
