Newbie w/Question about GAC

I have two sons with Autism and will be requesting GAC when we go to Disney in a few weeks. Question --- will we get ONE GAC that can be used at all the parks or will we have to apply for a new one at each park?

Also, will everyone in our party get a GAC or some type of tag or JUST my sons? I know when we went to Sesame Place last year, all of us received a wrist band for line-hopping.

Thanks for your help and any other suggestions or tips would be appreciated!

Read the (excellent) FAQ near the top of the list of threads here. There's at least one post that specifically explains the GAC.

Even if your sons have the exact same needs - because the GAC is based on needs, not on diagnoses - they can/should each get one. Advantage? Your party can split up, and each son still have his needs met; well, to the extent WDW can.

The GACs you get on arrival will be valid at every park for your entire stay - no need to wait in line more than once. However, you WILL need to wait in line with your sons - the CMs need to see the specific person/s for whom the GAC is being issued.

Only your sons will get them - because only your sons need them.

GAC user here. You will also need to tell the CM issuing the GAC how many are in your party.

When you use the GAC, the CMs always check if you are bringing in the same amount (or less) of people noted on the card, so it's important to let them know.
