Because we're DVC members, we're actually thinking about (to save money) booking five nights at a DLP resort and training into Paris four days. In my preliminary research, it seems that most train rides into Paris would take about 35-45 minutes, run every 15 minutes or so, and run from about 5:30am-12:30am.

Is my reading correct? Everything's a bit overwhelming at this point as we're trying to hunker down and figure things out, so despite looking at the "sticky" threads, I just want to make sure we're seeing things correctly.

So, in conclusion, say we're staying at DLP and we want to go to the Eiffel Tower (just as an example). Are we looking at a 45 minute train ride or are we looking at something much longer than that?

Also, which DLP hotels are closest to the DLP train station? Would I be correct in my thinking that the Hotel New York is closer than the Sequoia and Newport? How long of a walk would it be to the train station?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not much help with train times, but I think you're about right for how long to get to Paris from DLP.

Hotel New York, Newport Bay and Sequoia Lodge are all within easy reach of the station. The train station is a 5 minute stroll through Disney Village from these hotels. The shuttle buses from the hotels also park right beside the station (if you don't fancy walking). Each of the Disney Parks are also right beside you. It's all very close together :thumbsup2

This link, from dlrpmagic might help to give you an idea of how close:

The station is marked TGV/Eurostar on the bottom left. Next to it you'll see the shuttle bus stance - Through the Village towards the lake are the hotels you've mentioned.

Hope this helps.

As a test run going from MLV to Trocadero (opposite the TE) leaving at 10.00 am Monday morning it would take 65 minutes.

Coming home at 22.00 would take 75 minutes

Costs will vary depending on what days you are going as there are weekly passes that exist but they run from Mon thru Sun, so if you are Fri thru Tues it's not the best deal.

There is maybe 5 minutes more walking from the SL than from the HNY to the station.

The NBC is so vast that it could be a lot longer depnding on where your room is located :lmao:
