This will be our first trip to IOA & US (October 2003). We are staying at the HRH and had a couple of questions.

1. With FOTL access, what will the wait time be for this time of the year?

2. We are a family of 4 (DW-35, DD-10, DS-7, myself - 39). Do we have to have room keys for every person in our party to have FOTL access? Do we have to carry keys for the kids?

3. With FOTL access, how long will it take to do the park?

4. What are the "not to miss" things at IOA, US, or City Walk?

This is an awesome board! In advance, THANKS!!!

Yes, each person in your party needs a room key to access the Express Line. Just tell the front desk at HRH that you need keys for each of you, they will provide them.

Express lines are generally take about 15 minutes when the park is busy, maybe 20.

How long it takes you is really hard to say....depends on how much you stop, how fast you walk, etc...

What not to miss? hmmmm....I would have to say, try to see everything you possibly can. The Blues Bros. show is fantastic and they perform right in the street. There is just so much, I can't begin to tell you!

Just go, have a great time and take it all in. Oh and while you are walking through Port of Entry in IOA, pay attention to your surroundings, there are things going on that add to the experience. :)

Enjoy!

Yes, everyone in your party will need a room key, so figure out a way that works so you don't lose them. :)

During the peak times, Express lines may reach 15 to 20 minutes, however I do not believe the parks will be that busy when you go, so expect a 5 to 10 minute Express wait, and MAYBE 15 if it's a really popular ride.

How long will it take to do the park? Well, I'll say for ONE park, if you did everything then maybe 5 hours...not rushed. Of course, rearranging things to make room for shows, meals, etc will make the anticipated time fluctuate. But you know what? I never even thought about how long it would take to do everything. Maybe I'll time myself sometime to see how long it takes me to do everything...

Not to miss: well, it all depends out height restrictions, and types of rides you like. Are you thrill seekers? I know your DS may have some limitations for his height (though, I'm not sure how tall he is).

But, this will of course change with your taste and limitations:

US: Ghostbusters Show (fun, family and kid-friendly), Men in Black: Alien Attack (addictive and interactive...like Buzz Lightyear), Back to the future (A classic US ride), Shrek 4-D (THE ride at the moment because it's the newest addition).

IOA: Hulk rollercoaster, Spiderman (awesome simulator on a track..very unique..a favorite for many), Jurassic Park River Adventure (not to miss for Jurassic Park fans), Dueling Dragons rollercoasters

Citywalk: Hard Rock Cafe is a neat place to eat. Great food and atmosphere...especially if you are into music. But there are different restaurants based on various things, like Nascar, NBA, etc. My parents loved Margaritaville and may take my uncle who's in town there for dinner or else Hard Rock Cafe. :)

THANKS for the feedback. That's just what I wanted. It looks like my 7 year old DS is too short for the Hulk & Dueling Dragons. Everything else is okay. We're big Jurassic Park fans and can't wait to ride it. You guys are GREAT. THANKS again!
