Don't totally rule out the POP. If you pay for a preferred room (which isn't a lot more) then you will be pretty close to the main building where you eat and catch the bus. The buildings are outside...and there is some walking...but nothing compared to the parks.
Having only one central bus stop is a great perk if you are going to be traveling in a wheelchair and the large size of the resort is in your favor, too...because the buses continually come and go, which helps.
The monorail resorts are losing value for me because the monorails are having to shut down just one hour after park closing, which is barely enough time to get out of some of the parks in the crowds! I just wouldn't pay the money for the deluxe unless I was planning on turning in early every night and not needing the monorail at night.
They, of course, have handicapped rooms with the roll in showers, etc. But the roll in shower rooms, for the most part, only have King beds.
