Hi all;
My dw and I just joined DVC and i have 2 questions?
1) How much coffee is in the room? Is there enough for 4 days? I only drink 2 cups a day.
2) do we have to make up our own beds or does a maid come in?
I know these sound trival but as a newbie I'd just like to know.
Thanks
Fred :wave2:

1 - You'll have enough coffee to make one pot.
2 - No maid service unless you choose to pay extra for it (most DVC'rs don't miss the maid service.

There is enough coffee for one or two pots only. They're filter packs, so you cannot sub-divide them.

The beds start made-up; what you do for the rest of the week is up to you. No one will come into your room to make the bed each day.

Welcome to the DIS DVC boards.

To answer your questions, there is enough coffee for one pot. It will be replentished on day 4.

Day 1 is check-in day (ie, if you check-in on Monday, you will get fresh towels and more coffee on Thursday).

You will not receive any daily maid services, except Trash & Towel service on day 4, for Trash and Towel they will take out the trash, replace the towles and replentish the coffee service. You will not receive a full housekeeping on any stay of 7 nights or less, no beds made, no fresh sheets.

You can request additional towel packs for $6 per pack, additional Trash & Towel service is $10 per day requested. Additional full housekeeping (making beds, fresh sheets, vacuuming) is $25 per day requested for studios, $35 for 1 bedrooms, $45 for 2 bedrooms and $60 for Grand Villas.

Thanks to all for your quick responses. I had a feeling that I was going to get those answers. It really doesn't matter. we're still very excited about DVC.
Thanks again
Fred

You will be on vacation Fred - let your hair down and dont make the bed!

LOL - have a great time!

It's your home away from home. Unless you have a maid at home.

If you can find some of the older threads (probably over on the Planning Board) you will find suggestions of things to take with you. Coffee, coffee filters, and laundry detergent/products are at the top of the list for most of us. You'll get a "starter kit" of those items, but it's only that. You need to bring your own.
