Hi all,

I'm still trying to figure out this whole DVC system. I read on a post (correct me if I'm wrong) that I can only book 7 days at a time? I am hoping to visit for ten days in May 2009.

Thanks in advance!!

Just like a non-DVC member can book any number of days for cash through the Central Reservations Office (CRO), a DVC member can book any number of days as they want, provided they have enough points to make that reservation.

DVC is not limited to Fri to Fri, Sat to Sat or Sun to Sun like many other timeshares. You can currently reserve as few as one night or as many as 100 days (or more if you want) as long as you have the points to make that reservation.

Thanks again Deb!

There is a 7 day rule but it is not a limitation to length of stay. You can book starting 11 months out from intended date of arrival at home resort or 7 at others. When you call exactly 11 months out from date of arrival, you can book a maximum of 7 nights at that time. You can call the next day and add another, etc. (same rule when calling exactly 7 months out). If you wait to call later, e.g., 10 months out at home resort, or 6 at another, there is no 7 day limitation. Why would anyone call exactly 11 months out? Certain times of year, e.g., Christmas week, can fill very quickly at the 11 month window; also Grand Villas can go very fast at the 11 month window almost any time of year.
