Newbie question

I will be calling my agent to buy into Animal Kingdom Villas.

I will not be going this year. Do I get points this year or no? Just wondering because we will be going on Disney Cruise to Mexico next August and would like to stay at Grand Californian for 3 nights after cruise (2 rooms needed).
Will I have points to transfer from this year for August of next year? If I am still short on points can I borrow from next year also? I was not sure if you could borrow and transfer at the same time. Are you able to book 2 rooms or is there a rule where you can only use points for 1 room. Last question, how far out can I book for Grand Californian?

Hi lola! If you are buying direct from Disney then "yes" you will have points immediately available to you to use or bank for next year. If you are buying resale then that depends on the contract you are buying. For your trip next August if the point you bank this year and the points for next are not enought then yes you can borrow from 2009's points. There is a timeline for banking and borrowing but is dependent upon your Use Year. When you buy your agent can give you the details or it will be in your new member guide book.
