There are no pull thru's at the Fort.

They experimented a couple years ago and put in two of them in loop 1200 side by side where you could pull off the main road (Fort Wilderness Trail) into the sites but they were later removed and no further action taken.

Don't know this as fact, but JMO, I think that a pull thru takes up way too much 'valuable real estate'!!! You can usually have at least two campsites in the place of one pull thru! Disney thinks $$$'s

At least that has been our experience in seeing the size of those that we have used elsewhere.

NoM, I don't think this is ths case at the Fort. The two they had , they just cleared the land from a pad to the street, maybe 20 feet. When they closed them, they just planted a few bushes back in the "entrances" and made them back-in again. No changes needed in the actual campsites. We talked to someone staying there once. They had a small trailer and did not take up much space. Kind of a waste of a good idea.

retired and happy, guess I wasn't talking about just the two trials they had - was thinking more in general terms of how 'close' most of the sites are and enclosed in circles.

Most of the pull thru sites we have used are pads between roads, or a half circle (pull out) on the side of a road. Those take up a good deal of space.

When you arrive if you think you might have trouble backing advise at checkin and they will send someone to help you.
