I've been lurking around here for awhile and am overloaded with information...however I still can't figure out the answer to this question. What hotels near Disneyland offer some type of suite?

We are planning a fall 2008 trip to Disneyland with our two young children (they will be 4.5 and 2.5 when we travel). Neither child is a great sleeper. Although I would love to be pleasantly surprised by a change in their sleeping habits, I'm scared to count on such a change! Thus I think a suite would be our best bet...although I'm a bit worried with how that will limit our hotel choices.

Thanks for the help--and thank you in advance for the patience I hope you'll show me during the upcoming year. :flower3:

Last time we stayed at the Residence Inn on Clementine. They have one and two bedroom suites. It's about a 15-20 minutes walk or you can catch the ART. The big plus of this hotel is the breakfast.

For our upcoming trip we've booked a two-bedroom suite at the Carousel Inn. They also have one bedroom suites and kids' suites. I had considered the Desert Inn, which has several suite options too. Both of these hotels are right across the street from the park, a big plus when you have little ones. Short walk and easy to go back to the hotel for a rest. There's also the Best Western Park Place Inn that has mini-suites. I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones that I've personally looked into.

Staybridge Suites has 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suites. One room has a King bed, the other has 2 queens. It also offers a full kitchen, and the hotel serves a breakfast, not fabulous, but pretty decent. There is also a Living Room with another TV and a DVD player, which is nice.

The down side is that it is much too far to walk. It is on Manchester, and a full mile away. Guests can take the ART or drive. We drove, which worked out fine. We had a free parking voucher through AAA.

We liked the hotel. We all slept really well, beds were comfy.

Both Carousel Inn and Suites and Camelot Inn offer suite type rooms and both are right across the street from the park. We are taking our 2 kids (ages 4.5 and 3) next week to celebrate my daughter's 3rd Bday. Having a seperate room for the kids was important since my kids go to sleep so much earlier than we do. I have not stayed at either but a lot of my friends really liked Carousel Inn. Good luck with you planning!

Thank you, this is very helpful information!

edited to add: We are flying down to California and do not plan to rent a car--so close proximity to Disneyland is a must.
