We are touring with our daughters for their very first trip to DW; park hopping for a 3-day trip beginning Fri Oct 2 (arriving day before ). We will start in MK before RD. We will be there only til after lunchtime on that day (going back to hotel and hopping to HS that eve). Question: What would you suggest for our first three FPs? 7DMT and PPF and SM to start? (these are our big "must-do's"). Or will we be early enough to stand by for one of those? Midnight tonite i can reserve them. Many thanks in advance! !

Those are great choices and if they are your must do's, then i would def go with that. Mine train line is loooong since it's new, peter pan is slow loading so line is always long, and space mountain is of course one of the top attractions. My suggestion is to book your FPs for the afternoon. If your planning on arriving for RD, make a plan of attack on rides/things you want to do in a particular area...you can do alot first thing in the am with minimal crowds. My preference would be to try to tackle adventure and frontierland before crowds. Or you may want to focus on fantasy land, just depending on your preferences. Have fun!!

Okay, thank you, i guess i wasn't thinking about what we could do besides the first two i mentioned very first thing. Do you mean go on other Fantasyland rides and use FP like 10 or 11ish?

...and it wouldn't make sense to go stand-by for 7DMT or PPF first thing after RD i guess is my real question.

I'd stick with what you have. Unless you are at the very front of the RD crowd, and willing to move fast, the 7DMT line builds incredibly fast. Even PP can get long quickly, because it is such a low capacity ride.

Have a great trip!

Of course it's completely up to you...but like the other poster said those lines will be longer no matter what time u go, so your fp choices are spot on! Depending on the rest of ur touring schedule, i would suggest making FP's for the afternoon, after lunch. That's when crowds peak. So that's when u don't want to be waiting in line. To utilize ur time most effectively i would suggest u concentrate on a certain area(s) right after RD. Where would just depend on ur family's preferences. You just don't want to be running from one end of park to the other, that will just eat up your time.
