Newbie question~ do I have this right?

Hello everyone. We just bought into AKL DVC while in Disney for our wedding and honeymoon. I have a question about use year and banking points.

For 2009 we have already booked ABD Costa Rica trip and paid for it before we bought DVC. We also received 160 developer points to use before October 12, 2009 at SSR so we will use them for an anniversary trip. So we are all set in 09 and do not need to use any of our points.

This is my 'plan' if I have it down correctly. We have a December use year.

We want to bank our Dec 2008 points to 2009 use year which means we can use the '08 points from Dec 1 2009 - 11/31/10 (we want to use them April 2010 for Interval/Ireland) and then bank our 2009 points to the 2010 use year which we can use from 12/1/10 - 11/31/11 which would give us 320 points in 2011.

Is this right? Am I making sense.

2008 UY points banked to 2009 UY are available 12/1/2009 - 11/30/2010

So those points are fine for April 2010 trip.

2009 UY points banked to 2010 UY are available 12/1/2010 - 11/30/2011

Those 2009 UY points cannot be re-banked again (into your DEC 2011 UY). They would need to be utilized by 11/30/2011.

If you do not bank DEC 2010 UY points into DEC 2011 UY then you will have a double allotment of points to use from 12/1/2010 - 11/30/2011 because of the banked 2009 UY points & the DEC 2010 UY allotment.

You can have double allotment of your points in your DEC 2011 UY by having the 2011 UY allotment and borrowing from your upcoming allotment of DEC 2012 UY points into DEC 2011 UY.
