Newbie question about making a reservation

I will be making my first DVC reservation in the next couple weeks. I am hoping to do it online since I understand I can do it an hour earlier than speaking with MS. My question is can I make requests such as which room area I want? I am AK and want savanna view, also would like closer to lobby and not a handicapped accessible room. Too many requests? Do I have to call to make requests? TIA!

The on-line reservation system does not accept room location requests. Those will need to be added later by calling MS.

TY for the response. I was hoping to "play around" with the online system so I understood it before I had to actually make the ressie, but it wants me to borrow point and stuff and I got nervous and cancelled out. Hopefully it is straightforward once I go to do the actual reservation.

Savanna view is a booking category so you will need to select that category when you select your room size.

For other room requests, I suggest that you use the contact form on the member website. They will add the request and email you a written record that it was added.

Yes, contact them. I have two reservations at VGC and received email confirmations, for room requests, in less than a week.

There are a large number of savanna view villas - those villas are almost always still available at 7 months. I tell you this so that you do not stress about having to make the reservation as soon as the window opens. You will be fine.

Also, the process is quite easy. If you like, you can email MS after you have booked online to add your requests.

I'd wish you luck or pixie dust, but I really do not think you need it!

As mentioned above, savanna view is a booking category, not a request. Also, you will choose at booking between Jambo and Kidani. Maybe you knew that, but I wanted to make sure you were ready.
