Sorry if this is repeated. Tomorrow is my 180 days before our trip. I am getting up early to make the reservations for dining. My question is this. Do I need to make reservations for every meal? We are making them for the places that we HAVE to eat at. Like the Character meals and a few other non character meals but are there places that are decent where you don't have to make Reservations for? So I am making Reservations for about 6 meals but we are there 7 days.

thanks for any input

My theory is to make one per day for where I think we would enjoy - if things are really busy then you always have that to fall back on or if they are slow you can change things up when you are there.

I do make all Table Seating reservations ahead of time. Also if you go to www.allearsnet.com click on dining, then scroll and click on menus, (just in case you are as technologically inept as I am :)) )you will get menus of every dining place, including counterserves there.

LOL. yes I was doing that waiting for the Red Sox game to end :)
We do have listed at least 1 per day that I need to make reservations for. this is what we have:
CRT, Le Cellier, Chef Micky's, Whispering Canyon, Hollywood Brown Derby, Concourse Steakhouse and Crystal Palace. Fingers crossed. :)

A big factor is the time that yall are going - Is it off-season? Is it peak season or holiday???? If you're going anywhere near Easter or "Spring Break" then definitely make ADR's for every meal that you're not wanting to do "counter service" style.

I agree with papparazimama that the time of year is a big factor. Whenever we go I make a reservation for every night anyway. It may seem like a lot, but it is much easier to say we are eating here tonight, instead of having people disagree on what they want for dinner. Making ADRs makes planning my iteneraries more easy too because if I am eating at Epcot for dinner I will plan to spend the afternoon enjoying the World Showcase. I like to plan the dinner schedule then print out menus so my parents can start to fugure out what they will want to eat.

hey, we have the same ticker times! Are you leaving on April 16th too, coming from Boston? I made all my ADR's today too!

YES. April 16th-23rd out of Boston! I think the plane leaves at 9am. I forgot. I made my ADR's 1st thing this morning and out of about 7 reservations I could only get 1 that had a table to fit a party of 9. the rest I had to book 2 tables and when we get there we have to ask to have the tables pushed together. How many are you going with? We are staying at the POFQ

wow, thats so cool! We're leaving in the afternoon, pulling two kids out of high school at noon. Is this your first time? It sounds like you have a pretty big group going down! How did you make out with flight fares? We did just okay, Delta non stop going down and USAir, stopping in PHL coming back for 385.00. I was bummed out when the AirTran fares first came out, I wished I waited for those, but anyway. Oh, we're a family of five, with two boys (other son is in college). How bout you?

once I booked the flight I didn't go back to look. I would be sad if I saw better rates. I had to go back and look up the flight info. I was thinking we were leaving at 9am but that was my DH's trip to Vegas on Wed (oops)
We leave Boston 12 noon on Wed and we do have a stop in Miami (not sure what the point is) we are there for 45 minutes and then go from Miami to Orlando. on the way home we leave Orlando at 4, and go to Miami, then Miami to Boston. We are going American Airlines(I like Delta better)and the tickets were $212 per person. This will be the 1st trip to Disney for the kiddos. I can't wait!

Are all 5 of you going? We are a family of 4. DH, me, DS6 and DD4. then my MIL and FIL are going along with my BIL, SIL and 2yo nephew

oh, your kids are going to have so much fun on their first trip!! Yes, we're a family of five, but the oldest will be at college:sad1: , we'll miss him so much. It'll be our first family trip without him. But I did take him all by myself last Spring break, so that was fun. I still feel bad we're going without him.
