Newbie question #1: Are there any fireworks?

Hi all,

We are complete and total US/IOA newbies. We will be staying at PBR in Mid-september. In checking these boards, I have not been able to find this information. Does either park have any fireworks shows that time of year like Disney does?

In September there are no fireworks. They only have them in the summer and ususally end the first week of August. You are going to love PBH. Welcome to the board and stick around. We are all willing to help!

Where do they shoot the fireworks from and where is the best place to watch them? Can you see them from the pool at HRH? Do they have them every night in the beginning of August?

From what I'm understanding BOTH PARKS will have fireworks this year. Since both parks are open until 10pm until Aug 7 (the last 10pm close), they will have fireworks every night, starting 7/5. The fireworks shows are in the respective park lagoons, and can be seen a fair distance away. People in the hotels and CW can see them with no problem. People behind Universal on Turkey Lake road can see them as well. But the closer you are to the water, the better it is. some effects happen only on the lagoon itself.

Little warning about the fireworks.... My DH, DN, son and I saw the fireworks at IOA from Mythos last. The view is the best from this location, but the closer you are, the louder they are. If you have anyone in your party who is timid around fireworks, watch from afar. This was by far the loudest fireworks we had ever seen. My DN (16), and my son (11 at the time), both went back to the HRH, because the BOOMS were a little much for them. If you don't mind holding your ears, the show is spectacular. I plan to be watching them from Mythos again this year. Holding my ears of course.
