Newbie pin trading video from Disney's Pin Traders in Walt Disney World

Wow! She was rude!! There are a few like that in DL too, I look at their pins but rarely do I ever trade. People like her give the rest of us a bad name!

I agree with you as well. She too was new at one point, but apparently that makes no difference at all. Sheesh......

I LOVED her trying to get 2 pins for one, that arguement made no sense! you have to give me two pins so I'll have one to keep and one to trade? wow, i didn't know thats how pin trading works!

Well when trading with other guests you can work out trades like that, since the pins belong to those people. However sometimes trades like that can be good ones if you know exactly what your trading for and the edition sizes of the pins. For example I have a pin in my collection that is very valueable and hard to get, so one time someone was offering me three good limitied edition pins to trade for it. I never ended up making the trade but if I did I know it would have been fair deal based on the value of the 1 pin I would have been giving up.

I have done 2 for 1 trades before but the pin I got was much better than the pins I had so in my mind it was fair. We've also received 2 pins for 1 in the reverse situation, it's OK if both parties are open to it and aware but we would never laugh at anyone trading, especially a newbie who is looking at our pins. We always make sure that both parties are happy with trades we make.

Why I avoid Downtown Disney pin traders like the plague! Except when I load up my lanyard with stuff to make those people drool! Put the lanyard on my tall, stoic brother and watch those vultures suffer! Karma will come back to them someday!

So far my daughter has only traded with cast members. I would hate for someone like that to make her feel stupid or uncomfortable.
