Hello all
After years of being tempted we just pulled the trigger and bought 250 pts into SSR. My wife just booked our first stint in January into a Grand Villa where we are taking our children and our parents.

We have two parents that are not well physically so we assume we can rent a scooter of some sort. What is best location for us to request which is closer to buses?
Any other tips and toughs for us first timers?

I look forward to years of DVCing!

If they aren't well and they will be using ECV's I would rent a vehicle large enough for both and not use Disney transportation. The waits can be long and loading and unloading on the bus can challenging.

If they have a HC placard, use it to park in HC parking.

check out the disability board for ECV rental recommendations (personally, we were extremelly pleased with apple scooters, but would never, ever recommend buena vista scooters).
i agree with renting a vehicle that will fit the scooters, and driving to the parks. btw, look at the available ECVs: some dismantle a bit (not always the easier to put together tho:guilty:), so fit more easily.

hth:)

I have rented an ECV previously from Walker and would recommend them. Some have a weekly rate that is cheaper than renting by day. The past two trips, we used our own personal ECV.

The ECV was for my wife and yes, she would have some manuvering to do to park the ECV on the bus, for her it was sometimes difficult. Our personal ECV would break down into four pieces and was easy enough to haul in a minivan to the parks and re-assemble. If possible this is the best option, in my opinion.
