Hi there! I'm new to this part of the DIS. I've lurked a little and figured since I'm always here, this is the perfect place to post my question. It has absolutely nothing to do with Disney! :rotfl:
I have to make up gift baskets for a fundraiser for my kids school. I'm doing fine with my others, but I'm stumped on what to fill my last basket with. I got a gift certificate from a restaurant for brunch. What could I add to it to go with that theme? The restaurant has a beautiful country feel to it. So I figured a grapevine type basket. What to put in? Muffin mixes, teas, champagne for mimosas? It's on the Northfork winery trail, so I was thinking a local sparkling wine. Anybody have any ideas?

I love this idea. We do the same every year for our High School Choir program.
Our process is to sell raffle tickets for each basket. Our "best seller" is the coffee basket. I do one that is sorta breakfast in bed theme. How about a pretty tray, several coffees, nice mugs, napkins, scone mix, pancake mix w/ maple syrup, fancy jams etc. Since we are a school we stay away from any thing alcoholic, but sparkling juice would be nice. I also do a coffee lovers basket--alot of different types of fresh coffee(from our local roaster) yummy chocolates, fancy cookies, large mugs, a choir CD to relax with, etc. We usually make about 2oo$ each. :sunny: HTH Deb

How much money do you have to spend? Kitchen utensils could be fun...like a biscuit cutter....maybe find an inexpensive waffle iron, I remember getting the Villa Mickey one from Amazon at Christmas time for under $40.00 (a budget board tip!)

Excellent idea!! We do the same raffle thing. Thank you so much for the idea!! I was thinking of coffe and breafast ideas. The only reason I thought champagne was becase it's at "Vinyard caterers" and that whole end of the Island is all wineries. I already put wine in the dinner one, so maybe I'll keep this one alchohol free!!

another good idea!! We can spend anything. We're supposed to get everything from businesses for 3 baskets and make one ourselves, but I hate going around asking businesses for things. It's so hard anyway because everything is big chains and you have to call the central offices for anything. If we go to locals it's easier. I got a certificate from from four. I figured I'd start with that and do the rest myself.
Thank you for your help!! :goodvibes
