We thought we might go during Spring Break in March, but we were unable to use our Frequent Flyer Miles. We could use them in April around Easter break. Just how crowded is it around Easter??? Better or worse than in March?? I appreciate all of your help!!

Easter at Disney World has to be one of the most crowded times there is. And what you have to realize is when Disney is crowded, it can be overwhelming. Depending on when you go in March it may be full due to spring breaks, but still not nearly as crowded as Easter.

After going during Easter week in 2001, we swore up and down that we'd never go back at that time of year again.

Well...I should've never said never 'cause we plan on returning next year during the exact same time.

Yes, it's crowded. VERY VERY crowded! I remember getting in line for a Fast Pass at Test Track and it took 15 minutes (yes, you read right, 15 minutes) just to get the Fast Passes!

One good thing about Easter week is the weather is absolutely gorgeous and the parks are open later.

It's either then, or during the blazing heat of the summer months, and quite frankly, I don't know which one is worse! Six of one, half a dozen of the other I guess!

We've been during Easter. Hubby is a teacher so our time to vacation is limited. Yes it is crowded, but if you plan and "go with the flow" you will still have a great vacation. If you have never been it will be overwhelming, but if you are a frequent visitor you won't feel it quite so much. I would avoid MK on Easter Sunday. We've done it but we just stayed awhile and park hopped. Also if you are planning on eating anywhere in the parks on Easter Day make PS ahead of time. Also be warned that many popular restaurants adjust their menus on Easter (i.e. raise the prices and offer a wee bit more!). Plan accordingly. As another poster has said, the weather is perfect at that time of year and heck you're in Disney, so what if it's a little crowded!! My favorite memory is walking along with the mob towards Splash Mountain and hearing my name yelled by a woman I know from home. She has a VERY loud and distinct voice. We just laughed and laughed, where else could you be in the middle of tons of people and run into someone you know! You will have a blast. Go with a good attitude, be flexible, and let the magic happen!

Have a Wonderful Vacation!!

We'll be there for Easter and are anticipating the worst of crowds. Hopefully we'll still have the best of times - I am looking forward to longer park hours - they did "roll up the town" when we were visiting in Oct/Nov. Can't wait to go!

This will be our first time during Easter Week too. It was either that or summer. We just went in early August. Actually the heat didn't bother me so much as the rain, every single afternoon. :umbrella: I figured the crowds will be there either time of year, but the weather should be better in April:sunny: . I'm just planning what we usually do, to hit our favorites early, take a break at the hotel pool then head back to the parks in the evening.

DH and I are both teachers and are headed with our 2 year old from 4/7 - 4/15. I went with my family for Easter in 1989 when I was in High School! I know it will be busy, but I just can't wait!:Pinkbounc

We're going at Easter time too. Though, we're taking DS out of school a couple of days early to somewhat try and beat the rush. We're arriving on Thursday April 1st and plan to go to the parks the next two days, hopefully before the worst of the crowds. Then we're doing Universal for 2 days, but since we're staying at one of their hotels, we'll use our hotel keys for FOTL access, so I'm hoping that will help on the Monday and Tuesday there the week before Easter.

I was there one other time the week before Easter and it was soooo very crowded....and that was before they had fast passes. We were actually turned away at one of the gates because the park was full!!!! I was younger then and we had slept in late and went around noon - that was a mistake. I'm older and wiser now.

But like many said....if you plan right and go with the flow, you should have a great vacation! Enjoy.

We went the week prior to Easter this year because our dd's high school band performed then. Yes, it was the most crowded I've ever seen, but not unmanageble. Go to the parks early and make dinning ressies early.

We had some freinds there with us and they said, if we hadn't been there to show them around, they would've freaked out about the crowds.

We got there the weekend prior to Easter weekend and it didn't really get heavy until tues & wed, before easter.

We've been to WDW the last 3 times during Easter Week and I have to say it wasn't that bad. The weather is great and though crowded, we never waited longer than 20 minutes in line. The secret is to get to the parks early, early!! We didn't even use fastpass that much this Easter. If the wait was too long we just came back at another time and we took a break everyday when it started to get really crowded at mid-day and went back to the pool. We came back around dinner when the crowds are thinner. It helped we were there for 11 days though!!
