So this is our first time to US/IOA and I like my park bag (alot of snacks, water, handsanitizer, whatever). Figured I would just use the lockers by the ride. Then read about lines to wait in to use a computer to get access to a locker?? We will be there first week of this August. How much of a hassle is it to use the lockers? May have to switch over the fanny/waist pack??? Thanks for any advice.

it is a lot easy to just use a fanny/waist pack than deal with the lockers.

you could rent a family locker in the front of the park.
the ones at the studios are what i am thinking of.

you pay one price and can use it the entire day no matter how many times you open and lock it after retrieving items out of it.

put all your main things in the family locker and just take a few things for the fanny pack while in ioa.

It's usually not that bad. Forbidden Journey can get a little cramped, but other than that I've never found it a big deal to get a locker at the rides.

I would go with a waistpack..Forbidden Journey is the worst of the locker jams, but we also experienced them on MIB and Mummy. It wasn't overly significant , but enough to deter me from bringing anything I need to lock up again.

For me, I actually find it WAY more convenient to use the lockers than to worry about trying to cram everything into a fanny pack! I can carry a full bottle of water, and my camera, etc.... and just throw it in the locker so I don't have to worry about it on the rides.

For FJ, we've found that if you just skip the first room of lockers and head through the crowd to the next room back, it's usually a lot less crowded!

This is our first US/IOA trip and we were a bit surprsised to find out about having to use lockers as we usually both carry backpacks. My DH refuses to leave his camera backpack in the room so we are trying to figure out this system. We are going in Sept so I am hoping that the low crowds will eliminate any stressing over this.
