Newbie Navigator Question

Hello everyone,
Please forgive my ignorance , but do they give out the navigators daily or do you receive all the navigators on the first day? It would be alot easier to plan the activities on board if you know in advance!
BTW--thanks to all you posters out there--this is our family's first cruise and I can't begin to thank you all enough for the useful information!!

Yep, they are all delivered the night before...Believe me, there's so much info. on each day that you'll be glad that they deliver them seperately! Otherwise one could be VERY overwhelmed!

You get them the night before (with the exception of the first day, of course). Although it would be nice to get them in advance, things can be subject to change. For example, when they expect the weather to be bad on CC (or if you miss it!), the navs may be changed to add additional activities.

but the kids' navigators are all for the entire cruise, so you can at least plan what your kids would like to do/check out in their clubs...

Most nights we had the personal navagator waiting in our room after we came back from either dinner or the club....I said most nights...there were a couple that they just didn't have them ready yet....but I'm not thinking that is generaly the case...since we were on a modifyed Eastern..instead of the scheduled Western due to a hurricane or two....our plans sometimes changed from morning to night as to where we were heading. So I think those couple nights that the navagator wasn't ready was just because they were still making plans on where we were going.

But we'd have a chance (most nights) to look over the next days navagators and get a good idea of things we wanted to do.

Our first cruise years ago was one that missed CC due to bad weather. It was a 4 day on the Magic, back before the Magic did 7 day cruises. CC was supposed to be on day 3.

The night before we got the navigators with the activities for CC. When the announcement came that we wouldn't be able to doc, they said we would do our day at sea and try CC the next day. About an hour later we had new navigators with all new activities for our day at sea.

That night we got navigators for our next day at CC. Again we couldn't doc so they made last minute arrangements to take us to Key West instead. About an hour later we got brand new navigators with our day in Key West spelled out.

So the navigators can change if things change on-board.
