Hey everybody just got a camper and am going to visit FW for the first time. I have a 6yr old and a 2yr old and am wondering what loops (prefferred) are good?

There are only 3 loops that are assuredly preferred: 100, 200 and 300. In addition 900, 1000, and 1100 and 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900 are in certain situations used as preferred. Of these, 300, and 1600-1900 are dog friendly loops (though any loop can be used as a dog loop at Disney's discretion, apparently). With young ones you will have to decide on a trade-off between convenient walking distances versus noise level. 100-300 are an easy walk to the marina, but are also close to a fair amount of marina/Hoop-Dee-Doo noise, particularly between 8 and 10 pm. 900-1100 and 1600-1900 will be much quieter but require use of the internal buses.

Without knowing more about your needs, this is about all the advice I can give.

We are making our first trip to FW in may and need advice on which loop and which site- we want to be as secluded as possible, as quiet as possible, and as big a lot as possible- other than that we are not picky:) We will have our golf cart so closeness to pool etc will not matter- we have a premium site rserved and we have a 34 foot fifth wheel, truck and golf cart- any help will be greatly appreciated

The sites that appear the largest to me are in the 1100 loop, it is also out of the way and quiet there.

If you're looking for quiet and large, and you have a golf cart, I'd go for 1600-1900. However, they're not premium sites. You wouldn't have trouble fitting into them, though - many of them look bigger than the premium sites I've stayed in.

Denali- Welcome to the Disboards. IMHO the best you will be able to do with a secluded premium site would be to ask to be assigned to a site away from the main road on the outside of the 800 loop. The 1100 loop has not yet been converted to a premium loop, and I doubt that it will be before your May arrival date. The other available premium loops (400, 500, 600, 700, 1200, 1300 and 1400) are in busier places, and could have some issues with traffic noise or pool noise (but I wouldn't say that any of these loops have a real noise problem).

I just wanted to pipe in and agree that of currently completed loops, 800 (away from the road) is probably your best bet. If 1100 ends up getting the Premium treatment (which I think is starting to look doubtful) it will be a good option as well.

You just got a camper and going with 2 kids, Congrats, fantastic. Don't worry about the site, you will have a great time. We've vacationed the Fort 3 times without ever requesting or asking. Some will note one spot was quite tight, but hey, your at the Fort! Enjoy, once you camp FW, you'll never enter a Hotel again....well maybe HTT!

thanks for all of the help- now i at least have it narrowed down to 2 loops- probably will ask for 800 loop- got my mickey light so i am ready:)
