Dh just surprised me with a trip to Paris next month. Including Disneyland Paris!,, Yippeeeeee!:yay::yay::yay

What is the best way to get a one day pass? How is it different than California? What is your favorite parts? What is a must see? :confused3

Congrats to your trip! Paris is awesome! ;)
For your one day pass: visit disneylandparis.com and try to purchase a one day ticket (I don't know if it goes for each country). At the moment one day tickets are 20% off! Once you booked a ticket, you can download it and print it at home. So you just have to bring it with you :thumbsup2
The "must-do's": I've never been to Disney California so I can't compare those. If you like thrill-rides, ride the Indiana Jones rollercoaster and Space Mountain. In comparison to Space Mountain in MK, it has got a loop!;)
For food: vistit King Ludwig's Castle in the Disney Village and try the Käsespätzle (Swabian noodles with fried onions and grated cheese) ...soooo good!!:flower3:

Must sees... for me I'd say definitely the Dragons Lair under the Castle. Plus Animagique and Cinemagique, those shows are not in California.

The Storybook Boats are different than in California, they have some scenes that are not featured there.

The rest depends on your personal preferences. For thrill rides I am absolutely with Noel. ;)

You may find that the CM's attitude may be... some people (I will admit am one of them) would call it "less magical". It's a different kind of "magic" for sure.

Smoking is an issue in the parks, if you only know California this will make a big difference. Toilets may be a more or less big mess.

If you are into characters organised meets are not the norm, if a character is walking around it's one big scrum of people thinking the pushiest one wins. :scared:

Are you only having one day in the parks?

If so start in the studios - this park can be done in a few hours if its quite, then head over to the main park, its usually open late.

I don't have enough posts to post a link, but there's a thread titled "Tickets for US Residents - US v/s French or British websites for tickets?" that gives the best option for tickets. If you have a credit card that doesn't charge a fee for international transactions, the 45 euro ticket is the cheapest you can get. You might need to translate the page using google.

Also, there's another thread called "Disneyland Paris plan for US Parks expert?" that gives a decent touring plan for both parks. We tried to follow it a couple of weeks ago, but DW couldn't keep up after five days of walking around Paris and the Loire.

;)

OP-The cheapest tickets are going to be the Franciliens as mentionned on the 1st link ^^ but you'll have to buy them at least 5 days before your visit :)

Pirates of the Carribean and Big Thuder Mountain are slightly different - and IMHO better! (but I've not been to California for a while!)
