My husband and I will be in Orlando in Sept for a conference for his work. We only have ONE day we can do Disney. I haven't been able to convince him to skip the conference and do Disney all week. We'll be staying off Disney. Should I already purchase the one day ticket? Should I wait until closer to? The date will be Sept 28th. Thanks!

30 days in advance is when you can book advanced FP+ if you are not staying at a WDW resort,
so you can buy the tickets on-line about 31 days before your in-park day and be just fine.

There is no other reason to buy (or not to buy) your tickets before that FP+ booking date.
