Hello!
We (2 adults, 3 children) are off to Disneyland Paris in December for 4 days, staying at Hotel Cheyenne and travelling by Eurostar.
This is our 1st trip to Paris, having been to Florida 3 years ago, so we're very excited, although we have yet to tell the children - news being broken next weekend!!
Trying to plan things so we make the most of it, so would really appreciate some hints:
As we're staying in a Disney Hotel, will we get an extra hour(s) in both parks and is this in the morning?
If the park closes at 6, how long does it take to get to the village? Just thinking about making some reservations. Should we go for earlier rather than later? When is it busier and we're more/less likey to get onto most popular restaurants? (youngest child is 9 so doesn't really matter on bedtime for a couple of days!)
We will be there for 3 week days and 1 weekend day so I'm hoping it won't be too manic, is the Fastpass system the same as in Florida?

Any other tips and hints for first-timers would be really welcome and I'll try to post our reviews when we return to help others!

Thanks!

Hi and welcome

Hope you have a great trip. EMH for 1 or 2 hours is usually only in the disneyland park not the studios - most rides in Fantasyland will be open and a few in Discoveryland including Buzz and Space Mountain (be warned Space Mountain is much more intense than WDW and goes upside down)

The Village is literally minutes away - everything is in walking distance compared to WDW which is great. Most of the Village restaurants dont take reservations though so you will just have to take your chance- Cafe Mickey does which you will definitely need to book for . You could also try some of the restaurants in the hotels as another option - you can reserve for these or eat at some of the park restaurants at lunchtime - have a late lunch then just grab a snack in the evening - sometimes the chance to escape from the crowds for an hour at lunchtime is welcome.- have a look at some of the restaurant reviews in the sticky at the top of the page for ideas

You shouldnt find it too busy midweek unless you are going in the school holidays.

It is a very different experience to WDW so take your time to enjoy the beauty of the park and original ideas there - have a look in the castle dungeon and go upstairs in the castle

Hi!

The park hours and extra magic hours are on line now for December! :thumbsup2 EMH is daily from December 1st, so depending on park opening time you get one or two hours before the park opens.

The Village is literally a 5 minute walk from the park gates. The restuarants are usually quieter at around 6 before the park closes, but others may have had a different experience.

We usually book our restaurants when we arrive at the park in City Hall but you can book them in advance if there is somewhere you really want to eat. I'm planning on doing this for our next trip as it will be a weekend and I'm expecting the parks to be busy.

I've not had to use the FastPass system before but I think we will this year. As I understand it, you put your ticket in the FP machine and you get your FP for a time slot later in the day. I think you can only hold one FP in any 2 hour peroid - but I'm sure someone else on here will be able to fill you in on that! :goodvibes

There are lots of very knowledgeable people on here who are happy to share their wisdom - thank goodness!!! :worship:

Happy Planning! :goodvibes
