We are rolling in our pop up down to Disney in March 2011.
I have requested a premium site (for space, cable, elec, water, etc) in the 100-200-300-400 loops.

We were not assigned a specific site yet, and I just want to make sure we've made a good choice.

We will be making the journey with a three year old (who loves camping) and our 2006 Fleetwood pop up. I want to be semi close to a bathhouse, playground and the wharf to go to Magic Kingdom.

I think we've made a good choice. But I wanted to double check.

Any insight would be awesome!

Thanks!

Stef

Welcome!! :)

One quick note - 100, 200 and 300 are actually Preferred sites not Premium. Oh and you won't be assigned a specific site until you actually check in.

Good pick for location but you didn't have to go premium to get cable, all sites have cable. If you want to drain the sink or pottie (if your popup is equipped) you do need a full hookup though. If not and don't mind being a little farther away, loop 1500 has cable, water and electric for less money.
Enjoy your trip!

Another Welcome!

As BradyBz12 said, 100-300 are not premium, so you won't get one of those loops if you requested a premium site.

Also, I never heard anybody call the dock a wharf. You might want to work on that between now and March. No sense in calling attention to the fact that you are a newbie ;)

If you want to be as close as possible to the marina, check and see if you can change to a preferred site. Then you can request 100/200. Those are plenty big for a pop-up, and you will be close to the dock and the Settlement Playground. If that doesn't work, 300 isn't too far, and there is a nice playground adjacent to it.

If you can't go preferred, then 400 or 500 would be good premium loops for you to pick.

Have fun.

Kewl...

Working on the lingo...LOL! Wharf...marina..dock...that thing that sticks out in the water and we go to Magic Kingdom on a boat from it. :) I'm a hillbilly...can't help it.

All righty...I just need to figure out what DH requested. I'm thinking he got a preferred instead of premium. We just wanted to make sure we had cable/and full hook up.

Total newbie...but sooo excited about doing this. DH's family camped when he was a kid and still do. My family's idea of camping was to set an old tent up in the backyard for me to play in all summer.

We just did our maiden voyage last week to OceanLakes in Myrtle Beach. The LO had a blast and so did we. We are journeying up to the Northern Neck of VA to do another round this weekend. We usually take cruises, but have backed off of that for a year to enjoy this as much as we can.

And now I have to make some green Mouse Ears for the trip....hmmmm....

Thanks again!

:lmao: That was funny! Welcome! You'll love it! There is no place in WDW like the Fort.....it's the best place under the stars!

Thanks for the links! We;ve spent the better part of the morning viewing the loops.

Nice to see it for real!

Looking forward to the trip!
