I've always heard about these boards and finally joined up. I grew up a Disney freak, and get to introduce my soon to be husband to the magic! We are planning our honeymoon there in December. We are getting married on the 8th, and weren't planning on leaving until the 14th for Disney but I'm hearing it gets busier closer to that time so now I'm thinking we need to leave on the 9th or 10th...it all really depends on my graduate school schedule...we're trying to decide which moderate hotel to stay at as well...any suggestions??? i can't wait!

I too grew up a Disney freak and at 42 soon to be 43 years old still am. 15 years ago we went to Disney on our honeymoon also. It was my wife's first time and now she is hooked.

We are going again this August.

If I were you and wanted a moderate I would probably choose CSR. The expert on this resort is buzz2001. He has a website of this resort and although I never stayed it looks very romantic and perfect for couples without kids. If you go in the resort form look for:

I'm sure after looking at these pictures on this site you will choose this resort. It is in the moderate category, but looks more like a deluxe.

You'll definitely want to check the Resorts Forum and the Disney Weddings and Honeymoons Forum for ideas and to share your excitement!!!!

I highly recommend the Port Orleans - French Quarter for a moderate resort. I've stayed there twice and it's is so compact but very romantic with its theming, boat to Downtown Disney etc. Check it out.

Good luck in your grad studies and planning your wedding. We celebrated our 35th anniversary last fall at WDW and truly enjoyed it!

I think the best moderate resort is Port Orleans - French Quarter.
Very Small and very romantic!
Caribbean Beach and Coronada Springs is lovely but very big and are mainly for Corporate Seminars. I like the romance at the French Quarter - walking along the waterway....very lovely!
