First of all i like to say, i've read dozens of responses/reviews from other folks regarding your vacations and all i have to say is Thank You. It really does provide people better insight on decision making, in regards to their own trip.

My question, just trying to figure out the differences between DisneyWorld, and Disney Land. I know its kind of a silly question. But i'm a bit stumped. So far i've gathered that DW is larger. And i found out for the first time yesterday, that Universal Studios is NOT connected to Disney. I just assumed it was one big happy family. What is California Adventure? Is that affiliated with Disney as well.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

To me personally it is unfair to compare the two. Disneyland will never be as large as Disneyworld because it is "Landlocked". Disneyland is located in the middle of Orange County a very populated area of CA. Disney doesn't own that much more land to expand. WDW is located on over 47 square miles. WDW has enough land that it can expand easily when or if they want.

To compare Disneyland to th Magic Kingdom alone might be a better way. The two parks share several attractions and I think Disneyland's versions may be a bit better for the most part. For example they both have It's a small world, Disneyland has a the World's Fair Facade, while the one in the Magic Kingdom looks like any other attraction. Another is Pirates of the Caribbean. The one in Disneyland is longer, and more detailed ot Disneyland. At the Magic Kingdom the Castle and Main Street is hands down way more impressive. There are also some attraction that are unique to each park.

It really is a personal choice as to which park you like the best, I love WDW better because of the 4 parks. I feel that WDW is a complete travel Destination. You never have to leave WDW property there is so much to do.

First of all, thank you for your swift response. Last year, we did manage to get to the Magic Kingdom. It was an awesome event. My daughter may push for Disneyland this year, just to try for something different. And i was just wondering, if we are going to be out there, how difficult would it be to hit the other parks.

Thanks Again.

Btw, forgot to introduce myself. I'm from the right outside of Philadelphia, and i'm the proud father of 3 kids. Upon visiting my mother down in FL last year, we decided to surprise the kids with a trip to DL. They loved it!!! The hightlight of the day... my 4 YO was zonked out, so i took my daughter to Space Mountain. Despite the line saying 35 minutes, we got inside... and walked... and walked, kept thinking we'd run into people. Well let's just say the counter must of been malfunctioning, because literally, the line was 5 minutes long. Before we knew it, we were on the ride, and it was awesome!!!

Are you asking about DL? If so, you have Ca Adventure and Disneyland Park , It shouldn't be that difficult to hit the 2 parks. If you are going to CA for other things not just Disney, then it just is up to you about how many days you want to go.

Now WDW on the other hand, some people do it a park a day, and some say you need at least 7-10 days. I like the 10 days myself.

BTW, Welcome, Nice to meet you!!!!
