Hello all WISHers! I am a newbie to this board - I usually lurk and occasionally post on the planning boards but have been a DISer for a long time now. I've decided that it is time to lose this weight and get fit. For me, it's not about how quick the weight comes off, it's more about a complete lifestyle change. I've tried way too many diets - I'm done with all of that. Now it's about making better choices, keeping an eye on my portions, and most importantly of all - exercising regularly. That will be my biggest challenge - I really don't enjoy it at all.
I have a significant amount of weight to lose - but I reallly believe for some reason that this time is the time. I have battled my weight my entire life and it only seems to be getting worse. I am 37 yrs old, married to my wonderful DH and have no children. I work in an office full-time and have a small part-time job. I would love to find a buddy of sorts - someone who would like to share the good:cheer2: , the bad:sad2: , and the ugly:scared: ! LOL!! If anyone is interested, PM me. In the meantime, I look forward to reading many more inspiring posts here on the WISH board. Thanks to all who share their triumphs and their struggles so we can all learn together! Thanks.

Hi Dixiegirl! Good luck in your weight loss journey!

I understand how hard it is to motivate yourself to exercise. I just re-started counting my weight watcher points and doing my FIRM videos and let me tell you, there were quite a few days when I did NOT feel like doing it at all! It was especially discouraging b/c I wasn't seeing any results!

Well now, fast forward 4 weeks, and I'm FINALLY seeing results! It's like the weight is dropping off and it's soooo motivating! My "fat" shorts are starting to get loose! Anyways, the point of my rambling is - stick with it b/c if you eat right and exercise, your body has no option but to lose weight!

You do have a great attitude. I so understand about not wanting to enjoy the exercise and the things it takes to get it done. There are days that I just cannot get to my attitude. Do what you know you must and you will be happy as you see the changes.
