We are taking our 4 year old for the first time to Disney World. Any suggestions for how to book this vacation as cheaply as possible? Would like Pop Century Resort, Dining Package, Park Hopper passes, and airline for 2 adults and one 4 year old in September.

Pop Century is a great place to stay with a little one! Staying in September will put you there during value season which will be the most affordable.

Be careful with the DDP. If you are not big eaters and are not planning on doing table service meals this does not work out to be a big money saver. However, if you are wanting to do some character meals and table service meals then it is good to get. (you can find threads explaining this better)

As for the what type of park tickets to get depends on how long you plan on being at the World.

Hope this helps some and have a great time. 4 yrs old is a great age to go!

How many days are you planning?

I'm staying 14 nights and have 10 day base pass-no hopping. The more days you have the less you pay per day. Hopping cost quite a bit more so if you are staying for a longer trip maybe getting the base tickets might be better.

Figure out what you think you would normally eat in a day. Remember it's hot down there in September.

I buy the refillable mug and get soda, coffee or hot chocolate while at the resort. When in the park I drink water-free at CS. This saves lots of money and I still get other drinks at the resort.

I'm not a big eater so CS is fine with me and I wouldn't eat a dessert 2 times a day with meals.

I do like to do charater meals every trip-don't normally do one every day. I did 3 in 1999. Otherwise I don't normally do TS.

I'm going this year and I have free dining, so I will have more food than I normally would buy out of pocket. I'm looking forward to it, but probably wouldn't buy DDP for my next trip.
