Hi~
I am planning a June '10 trip staying at HoJo's and we won't have a car so I am curious about getting around. I know that walking to Disneyland won't be a problem because it's close but what if we want to venture around the area. I use the word venture very loosely because I sure don't want to get lost!!! I can see the headlines now!! How is ART really? Do they run on a pretty reliable schedule? Do they pick-up/drop-off at HoJo? Please share your ART experiences with me.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I've never taken ART so I can't help with details about that but where are you planning on venturing to? And how long is your trip to DLR? If you're only going to be there a few days you won't need to go anywhere else since there is a ton to see and do there but if you're coming for a longer time then it makes sense to find other things to do too. If you post some places you were thinking about then maybe people can help you decide the best way to get there.

Have fun planning your trip!

ART runs a schedule which basically is twenty minute round trips but it is not 20 min. on the dot and they take shift breaks and lunch so that throws things off. It got to ask the driver every morning what the schedule is for the day.
If you go to their website it will show the routes and if you are staying within their area it will do.
Otherwise there is a very good public transit system.

We rarely get a car - only if we are going to one of the other theme parks because we dont like the tours time schedule.

We use a car to got costco and stock up on supplies other then that we dont use it. You can however rent a car just down the street so if you get there and decide to rent its only walkign distance (long walk) to car rental

Here is another location that is fun to walk to for looking around

Good luck

We always use ART and love it. Very reliable and clean. Air conditioned!
We used it from Hojos (we walked a couple of times) and it was great because it saved our legs for the parks, and at the end of the day, it was nice to just walk to the bus area and get a ride 'home'.

does the art shuttle go as far down as target? I would love to take the art there and get some water etc. anyone got a map of where the art does go ?

Thanks everyone for the replies!!! We aren't going very far. How far is GardenWalk? We would like to go there for dinner some nights. I love Bubba Gump's so I gotta go there. The Cheesecake Factory is also a must-do so if we can walk to GardenWalk that would be wonderful. The ART system sounds like it will be fine. Thanks for all your help. :thumbsup2

We stayed at the Super 8 which is right next to the GardenWalk and we walked to and from DLR with no problem. It's not that far but if you're really tired then it might be better to get a ride. Also, didn't someone mention awhile back that there is a shuttle that goes between GW and DLR? If there is a GW shuttle then that seems like the way to go since I'm assuming it's a free shuttle.

I really like Bubba Gump's and Cheesecake factory too so I can understand you wanting to make your way over that direction.

Thanks LavenderPeach, I will most definitely check on the GardenWalk shuttle!! Not too much gets between me and food!!!:rotfl2:
