Ok so my DF and I visit WDW almost once a month, and yet I have never been to F&W! Crazy I know. Anyway, a couple newbie questions, and I apologize if they are already posted somewhere on here, but I hope some of you pros can help out...

First, how much do the food and drink items average in cost? Do the booths take Visa? I rarely carry cash these days, and I want to make sure I have enough, but also so I dont look like an idiot when I try to pay with my visa! And lastly, how long are the lines at the booths. Are we going to spend all day waiting in line?

We are really excited to go, especially since its going to be my birthday!

I only know the answer to the first question re: cost of items at the booths. Deb's website said that items range in price from $2 to $6. That's all I know.

HTH.

Yes they do take VISA - or almost any other form of electronic payment. Sometimes the booth's communications breaks down since they are on a temporary connections and they are forced to take cash only but that is only temporary. Lines are not usually too long, maybe only one to six people in line at one time and they move along. They usually have three or four people working at each one. We usually stay away from weekends as they say they are more crowded.

I have been to food and wine every yr. since the start. Buy a gift card
put atleast 50.00 dollars on it-depending on how big of an eater and drinker
you are. you can get them at either of the gift shops prior to entering the
worlds of Epcot. and as stated above stay away from the w/e , it get
v. busy

The prices for all items are now listed on AllEars. We went last year for the first time, on a Saturday in October. It was busy, but not too bad. I think the longest wait was at Canada. It was the afternoon though, so I don't know how crowded it gets in the evening. We're going back again in two weeks and I can't wait. :drinking1

I was at F&W on opening weekend, and as I expected, lines were fairly long. The Canada line always seemed long (even at opening time on Friday morning), and Saturday evening the Morocco line snaked on almost forever!

Even if using a credit card, I'd recommend having at least a few dollars and change along in case their credit card system goes down.

I think the most inexpensive item was $2.00 and the most expensive food item (the Lobster Roll) was $6.75, can't remember wine and beer prices, I only tried the Ice Wine at Canada for $5.25 for an ounce.

I told my DH that maybe we should only stop at the booths with the longest lines, that perhaps the people know something about how good the food is there. ;)

Honestly? I would just stop at the ATM and get about $50. Cash is so much easier at the booths and so much faster. There are >20 booths. So much easier to drop a few bucks than whip out the plastic each time.

I can't believe you haven't gone yet:scared1: I love grazing around the world. DH and I will share most things we get, enough to get a good taste of each item then on to the next booth.

I have to warn you, it does get expensive. Figure about $4 for each item, you will easily want 6-10 items plus beverages. It is a nice experience though.

Let us know if you go and how it works out :cool1:
