Newbie Epcot Element Swap

This is called a newbie swap, but it is open to all.

Due Date: August 9th.
Mail By: August 2nd.

1. Choose your Group
2. These kits will consist of 1 Tag 2x4 and 1 element of your choice. See list for more details. EVERYONE WILL MAKE SIX
3. PM me with your DIS name, name, home address, email address, and phone numbers. Email and phone numbers will only be used to follow up if I have not heard from you.
4. Post your weekly status on the Progress thread - which will be posted after the slots are filled.
You must check in 2 weeks prior to the due date. If I have not heard from you by then I will send you a pm or an email.
I WILL ANGEL YOUR SPOT IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU WITHIN TWO DAYS OF THE PM OR EMAIL.
5. Check the progress thread for your status - it will be updated with ship info and received info.
6. Packing Instructions - use a Ziploc for each person and put everything for that person into their bag. Please label each bag with your name so we know who made each element. You‘ll have 6 bags to enclose in the larger (gallon size) Ziploc bag for each group you are in - be sure to include your name, your DIS name and your group number. Include $4.60 for postage (stamps, cash, check) to return your items. Delivery Confirmation is $0.65.
Please don’t send metered or click-it/ship-it postage – some hostesses have had issues with these.
7. PM me if you have problems and need to drop out or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes), let me know so we can make arrangements for an angel or other help if needed.
8. There will be 6 people per group. The total groups will depend on enthusiasm.
9. HAVE FUN!!

NO hand written lettering on ANY items. Please use computer fonts, rub-ons, stickers or stamps.

NOTE: Embellished means using brads, eyelets, charms, ribbon/fiber, 3D stickers (matted stickers/cliparts are okay too) or embossing (dry/heat).

Ok - here are the elements to choose from (if you have another idea for an element, let me know and I will add it).

Element Selection:
Journaling Box: 1PP at least a 3x3 writing area, double matted and embellished
Tag: 1 PP for medium or large tags, 2 pp for 2x3 tags, double matted and embellished, include either ribbon/fiber or eyelet/brad in the hole
Embellished Squares: 2PP 1-1/2x1-1/2 or larger if you wish, double matted and embellished
Slide Mounts: 2PP be creative here please
Envelopes: 2PP be creative please
File Folders or Matchbooks: 1 PP if medium size or lager, 2 pp if mini sized. Must be embellished in some way
Bottle Caps: 2PP if metal, 4PP if paper
Library Pocket and Tag: 1PP embellished, no smaller than to hold 2x3 a tag that should have ribbon/fiber or eyelet in the hole
Shaker Box: 1PP be creative please
Paper Piecing: 1PP be creative please
License Plate: 1PP be creative please
Signage/Bookmark: 1PP 2x6, double matted and embellished
Song/Lyric/Poem: 1PP, double matted and embellished
Altered CD cover: 1PP be creative please

I want to play. I want to play REALLY bad, it's been a long time since I've swapped. I can't even volunteer to angel! But things are 50/50 that in the next week or so, I'll have to start packing everything we own to move to Denver, or have absolutely nothing happen and be here in AZ for the next 6 months.

I hate limbo.

Gee, it seems like I just mentioned needing another Epcot swap! Ask and ye shall receive. Now I have my paper bags to finish too, but I'm caught up on my other swaps so it's perfectly fine for me to join this one too, right?

Since I've been using up my World Showcase items, I need to replenish them. (That's how it works, right? )Could I have China and American Adventure for the 2 groups, respectively? I'll leave Future World alone for now. Maybe later.

I found a new scrapbook store about 45 minutes away that had a fantastic travel section. Lots of Chinese print paper - I didn't buy any, because I was trying to be good. Now I'll have an excuse to go back!

If you have a lot of Newbies that pop up, I will give up my spots for them if necessary, though.

Oh I need Epcot stuff! Can I do Japan, I bought some really cool kimono paper hoping for an Epcot swap. I would also like Figment for Future World, either group is fine. I don't want to be greedy but I would love to do morroco as well. I have pictures of the kids at each water element in the World Showcase and I want to do a Fountains around the world layout.
