Newbie! Disneyworld v Disneyland????

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! honey, i'm hoooooooooome

These forums are soooooooo cool!!!! I can't believe i've only just found you guys!!! I LOVE disney, always have, and unfortunately i have a confession................. at the ripe old age of 25, i have never yet been to any of the theme parks

but my very own prince charming (newly my husband) has agreed that we will one day go to DW/DL (we are in Australia, so it's a bit of a big trip for us personally)

So, my question is, which should we go to? Disneyworld, or Disneyland?? For aussies, apparently it's cheaper to go to DL, but i've heard that DW is better.
Obviously i'd have a ball at either, i mean DL is the original, so it'd be kinda cool for that reason, but to spend that much money anyway, maybe we may as well go to DW and really get our money's worth?? and there's prob more there to interest hubby?

The other thing is, i always wanted to go before we had kids, as i'd really like to be the kid myself, first time.......... and then go back with the kids one day to share it with them too.... but i'm not sure now we can afford to go before kids (as in, i may not want to wait to have kids for another several years)... do you think that matters? or should i experience it with just the two of us first, so i don't regret it???

Hello I too just found this board and love Disney! I too have "heard" World is better than Land. I have been to Disneyworld many times! We are leaving for Disneyworld in May and have decided to go to Disneyland over Thanksgiving week. So in Nov. I will have that answer! I believe that it is all Disney and we will have a great time no matter which one we are at!

Disneyland is great, It is my favorite Disney park, I lived for 40 yr in Anaheim, going to DL all the time. Now I am in Fl and am loving WDW too. You would love Disneyland, but, i think since you want a vacation, WDW would be where you should visit. It has more to do, more of a multi day resort experience. PLus Disneyland is very urban , while WDW is sort of its own "world"..if I am making sense. Go for WDW you wont be disappointed.

re putting an Avatar (pic) under your username, it's in your profile settings, click on 'quick links' on the dark blue bar above, then click on 'edit avatar' and you get to either choose one of the ones already there, or browse for your own if you have a saved pic on your pc that you want to use. hope that makes sense

And about your question I am sorry I can not answer it DW have 4 parks, so that is a plus, but DL is the original and like you said, thats cool. I cant answer the question because I have never been to DL, but DL has California Adventure, which I really want to go to!
