Ok guys! The road is paved with good intentions, I really want to scrap but can't seem to get started.
I take lots, I mean lots of photos, I journal the days activities at WDW and I can't seem to get started.
I live in a small town with no scrapbooking resources or stores. I'm a simple gal, don't want lots of stuff on one page. ANY ADVICE, PLEASE?

I so agree. I haven't been doing this long. Fortunately my best buddy scrapbooks (and beautifully, I might add), so I had some ideas from looking at her albums. But I would just look at some of the galleries and threads you find on this site. Then just jump in. You won't really be pleased with your first album (or in my case your sixth or seventh) because you will always see things you wish you had done differently, but everyone else will think your work is beautiful!

But be careful, this is addictive

Have internet - can buy! How wonderful! And I've got lots of ideas from looking at sites like 2peas.

If you're really in a scrapping wilderness try Creative Memories - they may have a consultant in your area who can get you started. And if they don't have one very near, you could even be an angel of mercy to would-be scrappers in your neighbourhood by filling the gap! My fist scrapbook page was completed at a class I hosted - at the same class I signed up to become a consultant and now, nearly one year on, I've completed 3 and 3 halfs albums, and my younger son (7 today) is also hooked and getting very choosy about his embellisments.

Go for it! :thumbsup2

Creative Memories can direct ship products to your doorstep, and the internet is full of scrap shops. You are more than welcome to buy through my CM page if you want... just follow the link in my signature to my family's sites and then click the CM logo.

In terms of layouts, go with simple if that is what you like. You only have to please yourself in the end. Depending on your album size, put just a few picturs on a page with a nice paper or some great embellishments, but def keep the journaling in because it reaaly fleshes out the album, What size are you working with?

I a newbie too :wave2: I have about 400.00 worth of product(mostly Creative Memories) and magazines and a cpl of books , but still was stumped. I went to my first crop last night and it was super helpful. It was great to just sit and kinda watch and get some ideas from the other folks. It was nice to see some of the other products folks had too, the Sizzex machine was neat. I picked out my first pics I want to scrap and figured out I needed to go get a few more colors of paper to go with some other pictures I had with me. I didnt get alot done cuz I watched everyone but thats ok, Im all pumped up now and trying to get my laundry done, so i can spend the afternoon getting an orgainzed space to workand start scrappin!!!

Go to Creative Memories.com and check out the Milestones Picfolio album. I think it would be a perfect type album for you. Each page has photo sleeves for you to insert a photo. It comes with journal boxes and small titles. You would be able to complete an album in no time!
