Ok, never been to Universal Orlando but have been in California. Looking at possibly 2 days late June or early July. I know new Harry Potter opening and will be busy but do you think with July 4/14 on a Fri it will be busier the week of or the week after? Not staying on site and was hoping to just get reg tickets not park to park. 2 Adults and 2 teens.

Its going to be extremely busy either week.Keep in mind that is you only get single park tickets, you will NOT be able to ride the Hogwarts express. To ride that a park to park ticket will be required

Is the Hogwarts Express just a train ride? Will we be able to do everything else?

It is a train ride /experience that will connect Hogsmeade at IOA to Diagon Alley at the Studios. On a single park ticket you will be able to do one park or the other in one day.If you want to do both parks ( harry potter areas)in one day or want to ride the Hogwarts express you will need a park to park ticket.

So it is a for sure thing that you will need a park to park ticket for the Hogwarts Express ride? Seems like they could work it out (different lines) so that even single park tickets would work so more people could ride.

It should be interesting. Can't wait for the big announcement coming soon!

AFAIK it is certain .I posted a link awhile back that had the promotional Diagon alley poster along with the verbage that " with a park to park ticket ride the Hogwarts express" . It makes sense, the train station at Hogsmeade as well as Diagon alley are within the separate parks.Easier from a logistics standpoint to make sure evryone getting on and off has a park to park ticket than try to funnel out who doesnt and bar them entry
