Newark Airport NJ?

Has anyone flown out of Newark Airport? Is it easy to get to, and can you park your vehicle there, and how much per day? We live in South Jersey, and I can get better air out of Newark than PHila, and Atlantic City.

I've flown in and out of there many times.

I use Avistar to park there. I've tried some of the others, they seem to be the best.

Parking at a park and fly place runs about $15/day, if you ahve AAA you can usually get a 10-15% discount at a lot of places. I NEVER leave my car in long term parking at EWR--too many hoorror stories of cars stolen from their lots.

Parking at PHL is definitely cheaper--about $8-10 per day.

It's an easy enough airport to get around in, and security lines are generally short or non-existant.

If you are coming up from South Jersey you might want to look into a sleep and fly deal with one of the hotels where you spend teh night before your flight and then leave your car for free or a reduced rate.

I live in Northern NJ and fly out of Newark all the time.

I would recommend using either Avistar or Vista parking. Both are safe and reliable. You park your car and take a shuttle. it is fast and convenient. I know they both usually have coupons on their web site too. If I am not mistaken, Avistar even washes your car and pulls it out for you when you
return.

My in-laws are in FL and parked their car at Avistar. I think it maybe around $10 a day or so.

I have flown out of Newark many times. I would not recommend leaving your car there. I have friends that work at the airport and have had their cars broken into and one was even stolen. Whenever I go, I get a car service to take me there.

It is very easy to get to, right off of the turnpike. Once you see the airport exits, just follow the signs. Once you are inside of the airport though it is easy to get lost. So make sure you pay attention once you are at the airport.

Another option for getting there to limit expense is using transportation from a hotel to get there and leaving your car at the hotel. I know there are 2 hotels in my area (Hazlet Hotel and Wesley Inn ) that offer transportation to the airport for like $14.00 each way. The hotels are located off pkwy exit 117 and are very easy to get to.

I must just be lucky but I fly out of Newark at least 3 times a year and always use long term parking without a problem.

I also fly out of Newark most of the time....while never having had a problem with the airport long term lot - our last trip out we parked with VISTA ....excellent service!! got a coupon for a discount, had a heated van drop off and pick up at door..we actually called as we were pulling up to the gate on our return and the van pulled up as we walked out the door. I found it was a good savings and the service was great....

if you enter NEWARK AIRPORT DISCOUNT PARKING, you'll find quite a few sites to browse through...many with coupons and opinions from previous clients...

We also have used long term parking for up to 7 days and never had a problem. DH dropped something on the ground by our car and it was still there when we came back.

We use the Long term parking at Newark whenever we fly. The cost is $12 a day. Never had a problem!
