The article I was reading did not mention the 2009 birth or later caveat.

Scorpio here, now supposedly a Libra. I don't ever read my horoscope or follow signs and it still bothered me; but not as much as SIL! She has a small tattoo of her sign and was very upset to think that she might now be toting around the wrong sign! I was pretty sure most people would be grandfathered into the system they were already a part of. Glad to hear it is 2009.

What I just saw about 2009 is that there was some shift that year that would make it 1 day earlier than the previous, nothing about it starts after 2009, this has been going on gradually. I'm sure we'll learn more and it will be more clear if this is gonna stick but from now for me, according to this site above, I'm an Ophiuchus as that's where the constellations were when I was born, not Sag like I previously thought. I hope there are going to be horoscope readings for Ophiuchus.

Your birth sign is dependent upon what sign the sun rose in on the day you were born. So because the sun was in Pisces on March 1, 1958, I am and will always be a Pisces. Children born since 2009 will have new signs.
The only way anyone on the DIS will have a Zodiac sign change is if they have a time machine.
