I got tickets to see Ellen tape her show in NYC. We are 4...leaving Monday and returning Thursday. Hotel and flights are booked...apart from the 'Ellen' taping on Tuesday afternoon, what should we see?? We are thinking of Radio City Music Hall and the Christmas show with the Rockettes?

Anything on Broadway we shouldn't miss?

It's all been such a whirlwind trip...very last minute, that now we are wondering what else we should catch while we're there? We do plan on some serious shopping as well... :cool1:

Well I would say walk around adn look at the sights but starting Tuesday we are having terrible weather here on Tues, Wed and Thurs and it won't be nice walking around in pouring rain and wind....we are seeing the Radio City Show Tues and I am not looking forward to trying to get a cab in the pouring rain!
It is a not to be missed show though!

Oh, how exciting Minnie!! Where is she taping? I tried to get tix but I guess I didn't, lol. Umm, Broadway shoes...will you have kids with you? The Christmas Show is great, Beauty and the Beast is adorable and funny. I just saw Sweet Charity and it was really cute. I heard Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels is very good. Some of the shows do a lottery where you enter your name a couple of hours before showtime and if they pick your name, you can buy excellent seats at a great discount. Check out Broadwaybox.com for discount codes also. Have fun!!

Not sure if where you can get tickets for the more popular plays, but my favoriates are Wicked, Mamma Mia and Beauty and the Beast.

Also try going to see Madam Tuseuads Wax Museum in Times Square and then take the kids to the Gian Toys R Us store while you are there.

Go to the Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planeterium.

Take a Horse and Buggie Ride in Central Park.

Go to the Empire State Building.

Go downtown to the South Street Seaport.

Visit Chinatown.

Go to the Village.

Need More? Hope this helps. Have fun in my hometown.

Stop by the TKKTS booth in Times Square to see what Broadway shows are on sale for a discount for that evening.
Tour of Madison Square Gardens.

krcit...she is taping at Lincoln Center..we are seeing the 2nd show on Tuesday. It should be fun and surprisingly it has all come together on such short notice! Thanks for the discount code site too...I will check it out!

I really do appreciate all of your ideas! This place is better than the toursim sites and trip advisor!!!
