We are off to NY next weekend with DS nearly 6 year old.

Any advice on good places to go with kids? We have 3 days there. Might do a broadway show, it depends on him IM off to see Hairspray and Wicked and maybe Movin out!!

Anyway... ALSO i have studio tickets for Good Morning America. Does anyone know anything about the studio audience? Is that in the main part of the studio with Diane and Charlie or out with Tony doing the weather report?

It all sounds so much fun! And I love Good Morning America! Im glued when we are in the USA!

thanks so much

Madame Tussaud's is fun. maybe the Empire State building? weather permitting, the zoo in Central Park. the natural history museum has a planetarium. the Toys R Us store in Times Square is huge. there's also World of Disney, a huge store on 5th and 55th full of Disney merchandise.

You might consider the science museum (forgot the exact name) - it's across from Central Park on the West side I think. Also, if you have good weather, my kids loved Central Park itself.

Take him to Lion King!

Have a wonderful time!

he is keen to go see the lion king. he has actually seen it here in London before now.. but I might take him again.

I was hoping to take him to b&tB BUT there is no matinee that day... so we cant! He will never make an evening performance... shame...
anyway
thanks for your help!

Dylan's Candy Bar....it's HUGE candy store. I haven't been before, may try to go next month on my trip up there. I saw it on a show on Food Network, it looks really cool! Don't miss the Toys R Us in Times Square, it's amazing.

Let's See.

Statue of Liberty, Bronx Zoo, Central Park, Central Park Zoo, FAO Shwartz, Times Square (ESPN Zone, Toys R, Us, Lion King, Madame Trussade(SP), Yankee Store,..... Intrepid Air and Space Museum, Museum of Natural History, Yankee Stadium Tours, South Street Seaport, Ground Zero, Broadway, Shea Staduim, Museum of Moving Image,

Lots of stuff

Don't forget the restaurant Mars2112 on Broadway and 51st. Its alot of fun for kids, first you take a space ship ride (sort of a short flight simulator) into the restaurant. They have a video arcade there, and aliens walking around the place.

My son loves Mars (he is six). I hate it. It's overpriced horrible food and it's so dark in there you can barely see. The kids seem to like it though ;)

We went to Ellen's Stardust Diner a few months ago. It's a lot of fun in there with the singing staff. The food is mediocre, but it's really entertaining.

DH took both boys (6 and 9) on one of the double decker tour buses over the summer, and my kids LOVED it. I wish I'd been with them, the pictures are hilarious of them hamming it up.

They don't accept reservations. The wait can be long, especially if you want to do the shuttle ride thing beforehand. We opted not to do that and just go straight to the restaurant so our wait time wasn't too bad.
