New York Question

Hello

My mum is coming to New York next month and would like to visit Niagara Falls, and any other 'falls' in the area.

Does anyone know if she could go by train and if so how long would it take. Or would be flying the best answer.

All info would be of great help.

Is she going to New York City? If so NYC is about 7-8 hrs from Niagara Falls. I know there is a train that goes from Western NY to NYC. I'm not sure that's the best option. It's also a quick flight. Either way, unless she looks into some sort of package, she'll need transportation once in Western NY.
