So, I know it's not Disney BUT I'm planning a weekend girls trip to New York for my birthday in June. There are 5 women (ages 27 - 30) going and we are all super excited but we can't agree on a hotel! :confused3 Any suggestions. We are looking for a nice place with a good Manhattan location. Any suggestions?

Affinia Manhattan, on 51st (?) and 7th.

Directly across from Penn Station.
3 minutes away from Macy's (THE Macy's!).
10 minute walk from Times Square.

Mom and I had a regular room...all rooms come with a kitchnette (small stove, fridge, sink). Bathroom was decent. 2 Queen-sized beds with TONS of pillows. Overall, a nice hotel, and the price was awesome for what it was and the location. We booked through Orbitz, and they had the lowest prices of all the major travel websites.

If you're going to see a show on Broadway, definately try to book through www.broadwaybox.com . They have lower price rates than through the show's official website, and occasionally, they'll offer GREAT promos. We got tickets to Shrek: The Musical (about a month and a half before it closed) for 40% off through broadwaybox.

Have fun!

Check out Travelzoo for good deals and look at reviews on tripadvisor:thumbsup2 I always use Hotwire or Priceline but with Priceline you are only guaranteed bedding for 2, on Hotwire you can specify 4 people. I am going this weekend with my dds and I got the Doubletree Suites for $144 on Hotwire:cool1:

I also recommend Rock of Ages. I think there is a discount on Broadway box right now. I'm going next week for the 2cnd time. I loved it!

My friend and I just spent 7 nights in NYC. The first four nights we stayed at the New York Palace Hotel and LOVED it! They treated two Georgia girls like royalty! The remaining three nights were spent at The Mercer in SoHo. So not worth the money for that one :(

Sorry, no hotel recommendations because we are within driving distance for day trips, but I had to suggest the Sex in the City tour if you are a fan of the show. Two of my girlfriends and myself went into the city for a day and did the tour and it was really fun! The tour guide used some rather salty language, but even with that, we enjoyed it!

yay - Thanks for the suggestions. I've been to NYC once but the hotel was a little shabby... inexpensive, great location but it left a lot to be desired. Hopeully we can pick a place soon!

Sorry, can´t help with hotel but just wanted to say: Have an awesome trip!

I went on a girls only trip to NYC last October and it was so much fun!
